I am a full-stack engineer based in Türkiye, specializing in the broader TypeScript ecosystem.

Although my bachelor's and master's degrees are in a different engineering field, I have always written software. For my master's thesis at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), I built my own custom software and used it for all of my research. With my thesis advisor, I co-authored and published a research paper. All of the analyses and simulations in that paper were done with my software. It has been cited 20+ times so far and continues to be cited regularly.

To move into software engineering professionally, I completed the full-stack curriculum of The Odin Project, an open-source curriculum written and maintained by industry professionals.

Since then, I have built and deployed many real-world, working applications. I use proven, industry-standard technologies as well as newer ones, and I like to follow the cutting edge of the TypeScript ecosystem. In my selected projects, you can see traditional tools like Node.js and Express alongside Bun, Elysia and the TanStack libraries.

LLMs are changing software development rapidly. They are extremely useful and save a lot of time, and almost every company now uses AI in some form. I follow developer tooling and AI as closely as I follow web development, and I have used AI to different degrees in my projects. I can work with as much or as little AI as a task calls for. I built a working social media platform, the final project of The Odin Project, without AI. I used it occasionally in my price tracker project. For my document sharing platform, Bitig Flow, I fully leveraged LLMs, while I made the architectural decisions and reviewed all of the code myself. Using AI well is a skill in itself, and it lets me do more in less time.
